Orange is the New Black Season 3 Review – Plotline

Orange is the New Black Season 3 review

Orange is the New Black season 3 took a while to warm up with the new direction of its plotline. The season’s early episodes seemed very blank compared to the exciting end of season 2. The season kicks off to a very slow and seemingly unenjoyable start. You have fan favorite characters doing things that seemed very unlike them as well as a very serious tone. The beginning of season 3 left viewers wondering if this was even the same show they grew to love in seasons past.

Luckily the plot took a turn for the better a few episodes into the season. Things did start off slow but by the end things made sense and really picked up. The classic humor is back and interlaced within the drama of the show. It was nice to see that drama build to a point of wanting to watch more than one episode at a time. Seasons past were defiantly formed into the story. This made for a very impressive viewing time. It was also cool to see characters you never really thought much of get their moment in the sun.

Overall this Orange is the New Black season 3 review wouldn’t be compete without praising the later episodes of the season. It did take a while to stick but once it did we were reminded just why this show stole our hearts in the first place.

Orange is the New Black Season 3 Review – Visuals

Orange is the New Black Season 3 review

Visually, this season was just as impressive as past season. The camera angles where all plausible and quality was expected. You get a quality with Orange is the New Black that draws you in. When you have a show with an impressive cast and great plotline, the visuals carry that through. Orange is the New Black is the perfect shot to use as an example of good quality visuals. Nothing is distracting but nothing is creative either.

The intro song shows gritty and gripping images and that catchy tune just as it did before. This is a high point to mention in visuals because this is a great level of thought and creativity. Why the intro song does not qualify into our Orange is the New Black season 3 review as a standalone visual component is because it is the same as it was before. It’s beautiful and thought provoking but as far as the actual season goes everything else is average and expected to the quality we are used to with the show.

Orange is the New Black Season 3 Review – Cast and Conclusion

Orange is the New Black Season 3 review

Our Orange is the New Black season 3 review would not be complete without praising the amazing cast behind the show. This is a series that takes casting great actors perfectly fit for these parts very seriously. The people who play the roles of these characters were made to be who they are on the show. There are new character which fit in perfectly in with the rest of the returning cast. This element of the show is one of the main reasons why Orange is the New Black made it to be as big as it is.

In conclusion, this season was very good. Fans of the past seasons will definitely want to tune in and catch up with their Litchfield friends. If you are new to the series it is recommended that you start at season 1 as season 3 doesn’t do a great jump of being a stand-alone season. It takes a while for the season to pick up but when it does you will find yourself gripped!
