Call of Duty 4 Remastered Standalone Release Inbound

Call of Duty 4 Remastered Standalone

A Call of Duty 4 Remastered standalone version might finally see the light. The controversy centered on Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition releasing with beloved Call of Duty 4 Remastered was heated upon its announcement. Previously the only way players could get ahold of Call of Duty 4 remastered was through purchasing the Legacy Edition of Infinite Warfare. Needless to say, players weren’t thrilled with another futuristic, corny Call of Duty that was Infinite Warfare however they longed for the boots on ground gritty violence of COD 4.

The news was spotted via Gamefly but was however since removed from their products page. The PS4 Call of Duty 4 Remastered standalone title was listed on Gamefly with the release date of June 30th. Does anyone else smell a PS4 E3 2017 press conference spoiler?

Anyway, the Xbox One version of the Call of Duty 4 Remastered standalone was dated a month after the release of the PS4 version. The Xbox One version of a standalone Call of Duty 4 Remastered was dated July 30th. It would also be expected that the game would release for PC as well. The different launch dates are to be expected with Sony’s and Activision’s exclusivity deal with the Call of Duty series.

Call of Duty 4 Remastered Standalone – Rumor or Confirmation?

So far the Call of Duty 4 Remastered standalone news is still in rumors phases. That’s right, Activision has yet to confirm if this rumor is true. With that being said, the rumor seems very likely. Activision never officially confirmed or denied weather the game would release in a standalone form. Because we are still in a rumor phase, there is no official news about a standalone Remastered release. No one knows weather it will release as in standalone form or not.

Some fans are going as far as to start putting a $20-$40 price tag on the potential release. This is due to it being an older remastered title rather than a new release. This seems like such a likely rumor because there is still money to be made with Call of Duty 4 Remastered and the way to do that woukld be to release it as a standalone title for all of those who wished to play it when it released along-side of Infinite Warfare.
